Through Fire and Wind, the Wedding must go on.
Through the Fire I drove to be the Celebrant for the Wedding Day 💕💕💕💕
It was a wedding with a fiery start – literally.
Daniel Greene and Carissa Valentine were ready to tie the knot last Friday but just hours before the nuptials began their dream day almost went up in flames.
The couple, set to marry on the waterfront at The Anchorage Port Stephens, had serious doubts about whether the ceremony would go ahead with the only road in and out of Nelson Bay closed because of bush fires.
The band, the hair stylist, make-up artist and some guests were all unable to get through by road leaving the bride and groom in a state of panic, fearing the worst about what should be one of the most memorable days of their lives … and as it turned out, it was.
It was a scene that had all the hallmarks of a romantic comedy movie with the band, the beauticians and even some guests, taking a more scenic route to “the bay” – along the beach.
